About
Plans before pixels.
I'm Mahyar, a product and brand designer. Right now that means brand systems, company profiles and websites for teams in energy, terminals, holdings and asset management, built in Figma and, more and more, straight in code.
I came to screens through buildings. I studied architecture and then digital media at London Metropolitan University, and trained in UX/UI at BrainStation. The habits stuck: research first, draw a lot, and make the thing move only when it earns it.
My day role is Compliance Executive. KYC reviews, due diligence and regulated copy have taught me to design for teams where every claim has to hold up, which is most of my clients in energy and finance. I'm now branching into physical and electronic trading, real estate, car sales and marketing.
Off the clock I run Level Up Fantasy, a YouTube Shorts channel, which doubles as my lab for motion, AI-assisted editing and a brand I get to break.
